Rizers split pair; improve to 3-2 on season

The Palmetto State Rizers of the American Basketball Association split a pair of games over the weekend as the Camden-based team hiked their record to 3-2 after the first quarter of their inaugural campaignCoached by former Camden High and Jacksonville University standout Harvin Council, the Rizers opened their two-game road swing with a 132-11 victory over the Fayetteville Flight. One night later, the Rizers fell to the Myrtle Beach Warriors, 144-130, in a game played along the Grand Strand.The Rizers will return home to E. Clarkson Rhame City Arena in Camden on Saturday to host the Atlanta Aliens in a 7 p.m. start.Tickets for Saturday’s game are $7 for adults and $3 for fans ages 18 and under.Following Saturday’s game, the Rizers will have 13 days off before hosting the Fayetteville Flight on Friday, Dec. 21. One night later, the Primetime Players are in town.
