Dre Scott hit the 20-point plateau for the second straight game as Lugoff-Elgin held off visiting Central, 75-67, in a Monday night basketball game played inside the Demons Den.The win was the second in a row for Derek Belton’s charges, who improved to 5-4 in sweeping the season series with the Eagles. L-E won the first meeting in Pageland, 95-93, in overtime.The hosts took control of this one early, leading 18-10 after one quarter and extending their advantage to 35-23 at halftime. Central chopped the deficit to seven points, trailing 51-44 heading into the fourth quarter.All 75 of the Demons’ points were scored by eight seniors, led by Scott’s 22.
