It was a rough start to the 2012-13 high school basketball season for Lugoff-Elgin which dropped a doubleheader to host Andrew Jackson on Monday night in Kershaw.The Lady Demons fell to AJ in the season’s lidlifter, 60-34, before the L-E boys came ount on the short end of a 73-65 decision against the Volunteers.L-E looked to get back on thr winning track on Tuesday night when A.C. Flora came into the Demons Den.Tonight, two of the state’s perennial wrestling powers will go at it on the mat when Rock Hill, the seventh-ranked team in the state’s 4A ranks according to the pre-season poll, heads to L-E to take on the eighth-ranked Demons. Chapin was to be included as part of a three-team match, but opted out.
