Volunteers upend Demons

Lugoff-Elgin had its three-game win streak snapped in an 83-74 loss to host Andrew Jackson in a non-region boys’ basketball game played Tuesday in Kershaw. The Demons fell to 6-4 with the loss to the Volunteers who won both games over L-E. Aldreacio Wells led the Demons with 21 points while Bradwin Salmond, Daniel Quattlebaum and Kevon Roberson were next with 13, 12 and 11 points, respectively. Salmond also pulled down a game-best 13 rebounds with Quattlebaum dishing out eight assists.
