North Central High School will host the inaugural Battle in the Castle senior all-star basketball game on Sunday, May 19 at 4 p.m. inside The Castle in Boonetown.

Boys and girls basketball players from Camden, Lugoff-Elgin, North Central, Andrew Jackson and McBee high schools will play in the event. Since there were not enough senior girls’ players from the five teams to form two squads, several underclassmen will participate.

In both instances, two captains will draft their team. The afternoon will feature a slam dunk contest for the boys and a 3-point shooting contest for both girls’ and boys. Players who have signed to play basketball in college will also be acknowledged over the course of the afternoon.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. There will be a concession stand in operation for the games.
