NCHS junior tops magical mark in state tournament

DALLAS SIMS (center) poses with his father, Roger Sims (left) and his grandfather, Ronald Elliott, along with his younger brother, Dawson Sims, after Dallas was presented with a ring, commemorating the 801 series his bowled at the state tournament earlier this summer.
Oftentimes, high schools will have a junior ring ceremony to present rising seniors with their school ring well before graduation. For North Central High School junior Dallas Sims, his ring ceremony came early and it did not come at his place of education, per se. Last Thursday night, with members of the Camden adult bowling league practicing before that evening’s matches, Sims was called to the desk at the Camden Bowl to be presented with a ring for his having rolled an 800 series, out of a possible perfect 900 score.
