Every year, senior adults (age 50 and older) come from all over the state to compete and socialize with each other.
We all become own social network for four days of laughter, pride, acceptance and support to one another. This event is the South Carolina Senior Sports Classic, held at Francis Marion University in Florence May 16-19.
What a great opportunity to create and maintain a physical, emotionally, and spiritually healthy lifestyle. The events will be in age groups of five years: 50-54, 55-59, etc.
Participants can pick from a list of 78 events: single, doubles, team or mix doubles. All participants must be pre-registered for that event and one event during a given time period.
Early registration fee before April 1 is $35.If interested in organizing a team to compete in volleyball, basketball, or softball, or for more information, contact William Vincent at 432-5888. Registration includes one dinner/dance ticket and a S.C. Senior Sport Classic T-shirt.
This year is a qualifying year for the National Senior Games which will be held in Cleveland, Ohio from June 16 through 30, 2013.
