Camden’s Maggie Speaks was named the most valuable player in helping the North Carolina State volleyball team to the tournament title in last weekend’s Double Tree Cary Classic Championship in Raleigh. Speaks, a 5-foot-10 junior setter and 2013 Camden High School graduate, dished out a match-high 34 assists to go along with six kills and four blocks. She had six kills and four blocks in Saturday’s 3-0 win over previously unbeaten Tennessee.
