Hoping to take care of business and get the matter of winning the League III crown out of the way early, Tuesday evening’s thunderstorm threw a crimp in Kershaw County Post 17’s plans. Needing one win in three final three regular season game to lock down the league title and, the top seed in the playoffs which comes with it, the 17ers (8-1 in League III) were leading visiting Orangeburg Post 4 (2-6), 1-0 after two and a half innings Tuesday night before torrential rains forced the game to be stopped as the hosts were coming to bat in the bottom of the third inning. Tuesday’s game will be completed tonight starting at 6 p.m. at Mirmow Field in Orangeburg.
