Kellys 29 points helps lift Dogs past Demons, 54-49
White toned
L-ES JALEN WHITE LOOKS for an opening in the Camden zone defense which had Devin Martin (12) at the point during Fridays game at the Demons Den.
While the other nine players on the court were struggling to get into any kind of groove on both ends of the floor in a ragged first quarter of play, Camden’s Taylor Kelly decided to take the bull by the horns. Kelly, a 6-foot-2 senior guard, scored 12 of his game- and career-best 29 points in the opening quarter of the Bulldogs’ 54-49 win over rival Lugoff-Elgin Friday night inside the Demons Den. While Camden’s original plan of attack is to get the ball inside to Kelly’s brother, 6-foot-4, 245-pound senior Tyrone Kelly, foul problems plagued the Bulldog center.
