Trio of pro players to head up baseball camp

CAMDENS STEPHEN CARMON, a member of the San Diego Padres organization, will come back home for a youth baseball camp at American Legion Park on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The Camden High School baseball program, in conjunction with the Kershaw County Recreation Department, will host a one-day baseball camp on Saturday, Dec. 7 from noon until 3 p.m. at American Legion Park in Camden.The camp will feature instruction from Camden High graduates Michael Kohn, Stephen Carmon, Kansas City Royals’ prospect Ali Williams and members of the Bulldog baseball staff.Open to players ages seven through 14, the cost is $25 per participant. In the event of inclement weather, the camp will be moved inside to the old CLC gymnasium, located on York Street in Camden.Campers will received instruction as to the fundamentals of baseball and are asked to bring their own bats and glove. They should also be dressed properly, wearing sweat pants or baseball pants along with warm clothes and cleats and sneakers, the latter in case of cold weather should the camp be moved indoors.At the end of the camp, there will be a time allotted for an autograph session with Kohn, Carmon, and Williams.
