Venegas, CMA run past competition

Camden Military Academy’s David Venegas raced to his second straight win in helping the Spartans to victory in a three-team cross country meet hosted by Wilson High School on Tuesday. CMA placed six runners in the top 12 finishers to run away with the victory with 27 points. Wilson was next with 36 followed by Lake City with 70 points Venegas won romped to victory as he finished with a time of 17:46, easily outdistancing runner-up James Belt of Wilson who was clocked in 19:09 for the 3.1-mile trek.
