Vengas, Lawing lead CMA harriers to victory

David Vengas led seven Camden Military Academy runners who finished in the top 14 places as the Spartans opened their 2018 cross country season by winning a four-team meet in McBee last Tuesday. Vengas, a sophomore, completed the 3.1-mile run in a time of 18:32 as the Spartans scored a team-low 30 points. Cheraw was next with 51 points while Chesterfield and McBee rounded out the scoring with 74 and 77 points, respectively.
