Few times has a game which has meant virtually nothing in the standings been so intriguing. Now in different classifications, Camden and Lugoff-Elgin’s baseball team met for the first of two non-conference games Saturday afternoon as part of Camden’s Dogfest at American Legion Park. In a game which had at least two controversial calls, players called out for missing a base, a player from each side being awarded a base or having one taken away for interference and an infield fly which was not called, it was Devin Walker’s one-out sacrifice fly with one down in the seventh which gave L-E a 5-4 victory over its cross-river rivals.
