If you are going to play three hours and 45 minutes of baseball in temperatures approaching triple digits, you might as well win the game while you’re at it.In a contest which began in late morning and ended in mid-to-late afternoon, Devin Walker’s booming double off the fence in left field brought Russ Radcliff around from first base to give Kershaw County Post 17 a 13-12 comeback win over visiting Orangeburg in League IV action Saturday at American Legion Park. The win was the second of the week and the season for the hosts -- both against Orangeburg -- who were coming off a tough 6-4 loss at Dalzell-Shaw on Friday night. In that setback, KC committed six errors which led to as many unearned runs for the Jets. It was a much different case some 12 hours later. The 17ers battled from a 6-3 deficit at the game’s midway mark and found themselves on the short end of a 9-5 score heading into the bottom of the seventh.
