Youth sports camps ready for summer runs

With the school year coming to a close, it is time for summer sports camps in Kershaw County.Here is a listing of the camps, by starting date:Visions Basketball Camp: Directed by former Camden High and Jacksonville University basketball standout Harvin Council, the annual Visions Basketball Camp is designed for boys and girls basketball players of all skill levels. Assisting Council throughout the week will be college and high school basketball players form in and around the region. Stations will be set up to work on individual skills while free throw shooting contests, three-on-three games, five-on-five games and skills competitions will also be part of the curriculum at this annual camp.Date: June 4-8 Monday through Friday; Location: Leslie M. Stover Middle School Gym; Ages: 6 - 17 (beginner - advanced); Cost: $50; Hours: 9 a.m. - noon; Registration/contact: Harvin Council at (803) 468-7596Lugoff-Elgin Baseball Camp: This camp is held at the Lugoff-Elgin High School and is available for youth ages 8 through 13.
