Cahn: School board almost gets exec sessions right

Back in June, I told you about a S.C. Supreme Court ruling in a North Augusta case concerning public bodies entering executive sessions. As I’ve mentioned time and time again in this space, we still have a problem with the way certain public bodies here in Kershaw County go into executive session. The case focused, primarily, on North Augusta City Council’s proclivity to enter executive session for a “discussion of negotiations incident to 1 proposed contractual matter.”
