My family and I are blessed to live in a small town in the south. Charming, quaint and caring are just a few adjectives that I routinely use to describe my town and its people, but not in recent months can I describe the temperature of my community as anything but uncomfortable … and politics are to blame. I find myself wanting to “fix” the ugliness that is so easy to spew on keyboards and blasted on social media, the hurt that is sure to follow when friends differ in political viewpoints or candidate choices, and the anxieties of the future when the dust settles.
