By Friday afternoon, after working on a report I have researched for four months, I had to get my brain out of the 18th century! So, for the last hour of the work day, I began going through the stack of “Life” magazines from the 1940s and 1950s which I have been sorting for “keepers” and “tossers” since last summer -- one at a time. We all love “Life” magazines, but we cannot possibly keep all of the periodicals that people have offered us because most of the important publications are online now.
