One of the many acronyms that has cropped up during the last week as we and other media outlets try to keep up on the COVID-19 novel coronavirus pandemic -- especially as it has hit us right here at home -- is HIPAA. You’ll also see the phrase “patient privacy,” which is a stand-in for HIPAA.
