I was born Jewish, but haven’t been in a synagogue since at least the 1990s. I’ve considered myself a secular Jew: someone who counts themselves as culturally Jewish, but doesn’t practice the religion. I’m not going to go into the whys and wherefores about my decision to take my life in that direction.
