Sometimes, the biggest smile on my face can be seen when we have a new foster home picking up a foster dog. The thrill of knowing how much they’re going to fall in love with not just this one foster dog, but all of the ones to follow and just how many lives this one foster home is going to help save is just as exciting for me as Christmas morning! With the last year being such a tough year, it is soothing to know that if there is anything positive to come out of the COVID crisis it’s this -- nationwide, the number of animals in foster care is 43 percent higher than this time last year.
