P.J. O’Rourke, the editor of American Consequences and one of my heroes of journalism -- one of the funniest writers on the planet and possibly the only right wing humorist in existence today -- asked a very simple but vital question recently. His question, pointed directly at social media, is one I ask myself constantly: “Whose idea was it to put all the stupid people in touch with each other?” Reading a few headlines the other morning once again confirmed for me the legitimacy of O’Rouke’s question.
