I know I have written about my many shenanigans over the years, the various and sundry moments when I almost but not quite made the Darwin Awards. There was the time I was trying to field test a parachute from the roof of our house. Fortunately, a neighbor saw me right before I jumped off the roof with an open umbrella and alerted my mom in time for her to exercise supreme commander’s prerogative to abort that mission, indeed put a permanent kibosh on that line of experimental thought.
