Overseas cash proves double-edged sword for campaigns

The 2012 presidential race made its first splash overseas last month after Republican candidate Mitt Romney held an official campaign fundraiser in London. While Romney’s trip was not innovative for presidential hopefuls, it marks an interesting aspect of the campaign. Citizens living overseas provide a fairly untapped market since candidates usually go there only every four years.
