I should really add the following to the headline of today’s column: “...or at least they should be.” Thanks, again, to the U.S. Supreme Court, your rights are being subverted, and I can’t even blame partisan politics this time. A week ago today, all nine Justices unanimously upheld a provision in Virginia’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) that allows the state and local governments there to -- are you ready? -- deny record requests from out-of-state residents.
