Whether you voted for him or not, you can’t deny that Jim Matthews, his command staff, investigators and deputies have hit the ground running during his first month in office. That takes nothing away from former Kershaw County Sheriff Steve McCaskill. I enjoyed a good relationship with McCaskill and his staff for a number of years and am thankful for all their help.
