Like many of you, we are not greatly enamored with the candidates for president gracing our television and computer screens this year. With all the bombast assailing us, we are quite grateful for the more pleasant campaigns right here at home for the special election to fill the District 1 seat on Kershaw County Council. There are now four candidates, two each from the Republican and Democrat sides of the aisles.
