Readers today will notice a story on today’s front page about Kershaw County Librarian Amber Conger.

Conger was recently honored with the Outstanding Librarian award by the S.C. Library Association, the professional organization for public and collegiate libraries in South Carolina.

We would like to offer our hearty congratulations for a much deserved honor and deepest thanks for a job well done. That goes for Conger’s staff -- whom she wholly credits for this award -- as well. Indeed, anyone who visits the library probably can’t help but take note of and have great appreciation for the friendly and efficient professionalism of everyone who works in the library.

As the old saying goes, attitude reflects leadership.

We hope everyone understands just how valuable a community asset and amenity our library is to the citizens of Kershaw County.

Conger and her team have exciting plans for the future of the library and we wish them every success.

Congratulations and thanks again!
