Even this newspaper’s editor couldn’t help but tear up during Thursday’s Leaders Legacy bench dedication ceremony at the Revolutionary War Visitors Center for former Camden city manager Mel Pearson. We think we have Pearson’s son, Jeff, to blame as his speech was -- as we related in our front page story -- the most emotional from the get-go, but we’re willing give him a pass. He was talking about his dad, after all.
