The Kershaw County Board of School Trustees is getting closer to naming a new superintendent to replace Dr. Frank Morgan, who retires at the end of June. KCSD reviewed some 57 applicants from 19 states in this search process; they are now down to the final three: Dr. William (Shane) Robbins, who is currently superintendent of Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation in Fontville, Ind., Dr. Jeffrey (Jeff) Wilson, current superintendent of White County School System in Cleveland, Ga., and KCSD’s own Mr. Timothy (Tim) Hopkins, who is currently executive director of Instruction for the school district.
