Editorial: Tuition-free

The idea any currently enrolled Kershaw County high school student with a C or better average when they graduate -- almost any 9th through 12th grader -- will be able to go to Central Carolina Technical College (CCTC) completely tuition-free is amazing news. Think about this: Those students who wish to earn a two-year degree will be able to enter the workforce when they’re done without the incredible burden of student loan debt hanging over them. Even those students who wish to go on for two more years of school in order to earn a bachelors or similar degree will have an enormous break on the cost of their education.
