Back in 1939, the British government printed 2.45 million copies of a poster meant to boost morale ahead of World War II that read “Keep Calm and Carry On.” Oddly enough, they weren’t displayed all that much back then and were lost to history until a copy was found in a bookshop in 2000. During the last 20 years, it has become a meme on social media and T-shirts.
