It looks like Kershaw County will soon start to see some results from the legislature’s recently passed roads bill. The bill provides additional revenues to fix the state’s failing roads and bridges by increasing the gasoline tax by 12 cents over the next six years. SCDOT recently announced that it has awarded contracts for work on 10 roads, about 19 miles total, in Kershaw County.
