In the Sept. 9 issue of the C-I, a Cassatt resident shared his view about the NAACP’s peaceful march, “America’s Journey for Justice -- a journey with our eyes fixed on a better future for all Americans, not just the select few.” His views contained a great deal of emotionalism and very few facts regarding the event. First, we personally would like to thank all of the police officers and SLED officials who graciously did their jobs in securing the safely of the marchers and the citizens of each city, county and state the marchers had and will travel through.
