KCSD Superintendent disappointed with article
Placeholder Image
I would like to take this opportunity to express disappointment with an article published in the October 31, 2017, edition of the Chronicle-Independent concerning a lawsuit filed against Kershaw County School District. While the Chronicle-Independent’s inherent responsibility to cover topics of public interest including legal matters is understood and respected, I am extremely concerned that the District was not extended an opportunity to provide its perspective on the lawsuit and the other issues addressed in the article. I do not think it is unreasonable to expect the Chronicle-Independent to require its reporters to abide by a basic journalism principle of including all viewpoints in this type of article.
