‘Tis the season of giving, and there are many wonderful opportunities to give back to our community this time of year. Stover Middle School, Blaney Elementary School, and Dobys Mill Elementary School have partnered with the Elgin Police Department’s Elgin Toy Roundup and Caring Hands project to collect canned goods, toys, books, games, and money for families in need in the West Wateree area. On Friday, December 14, at 9 a.m., we will host an assembly in Stover Middle School’s gym to display our collections, and present them to Elgin Police Chief Harold Brown, who along with his wife Mrs. Kathy, founded this wonderful project.
