Wouldn’t you like to make a bank deposit in the amount of money it cost us taxpayers of Kershaw County to provide police escorts, including county, SLED (S.C. State Law Enforcement Division) and S.C. Highway Patrol for the “Black Lives Matter” walkathon? There were at least six county deputies with county cars, four state patrolmen with their highway patrol cars and a SLED vehicle I personally witnessed slowly proceeding on U.S. 1 Thursday, Aug. 27. I did not know a main highway could be commandeered and used as a walking path.
