Reader finds Benghazi cartoon distasteful
Placeholder Image
I am not sure who chooses the artwork of the editorial page, but I have to question the taste and integrity of the piece published on Monday, December 1, 2014, where the elephant is beating the “dead” donkey labeled “Benghazi.” If your son or daughter was killed and it took months for his/her murderer to get tried in a court of law and, meanwhile was out on bail enjoying life while your child no longer was, would you not persevere in getting justice for his/her death? Just because partisan politics is involved does not mean that we do not need to seek out the truth and justice for those who placed their lives in the hands of our nation’s leaders only to be betrayed by them (if that is the case, but evidence has certainly shown enough reason to believe that this should all come to light).
