Three 1983 Camden High School graduates have been nominated for national honors from the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) for a Palmetto Leaf newspaper article they wrote on asbestos at the high school. Robin Bishop, Mindy Blakely and Tal Johnson have been nominated to receive the NSPA’s Editorial Leadership Award, which will be presented at the organization’s national convention Nov. 19 in St. Louis. The Palmetto Leaf entry is one of eight news articles which is being considered for the award.
