Farm Bureau’s beauty title is won by Kershaw Entrant An attractive Kershaw High School senior, Miss Gloria Croxton, was crowned Kershaw County Farm Bureau Queen at the Baron DeKalb School auditorium on Friday evening. Miss Croxton was crowned before a cheering crowd which filled the auditorium to witness the annual Farm Bureau queen contest and talent competition. First runner-up in the queen contest was Miss Olivia Gaskin of Westville, who has appeared in other contests both as a talented singer and as a beauty contestant. …The second place queen contest runner-up was first place winner in the Senior Talent Contest… …First place Junior talent contest winner was Miss Phylis Gardner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Gardner of Bethune… Second place in the Junior talent competition went to Foster Truesdale, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Foster Truesdale, Sr. of Kershaw… …Miss Rengy Cobb, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted C. Cobb of Camden, was third place Junior talent winner with a tap dance number.
