Cooperative ministry has helped many since opening The Christian Community Ministries has provided assistance to 200 Kershaw County residents in need since opening its door in early October. If it was help needed for food or rent, counseling, referral to another service agency, or just a friendly ear for listening, the Christian Community Ministries has lived up to its objective … to provide a Christian-oriented resource program to local persons in need of human, material and financial help. In the three months since the program became operative, 150 vouchers for food, clothing, rent, utilities, medicine or other needs have been issued totaling about $5,000 according to Jake Watson, chairman of the executive committee.
