Woolards make Eagle award family affair On Jan. 6, 1944, young Gill Woolard stood proudly as his scoutmaster pinned an Eagle Scout award on his chest. Yesterday, exactly 30 years later, Woolard watched just as proudly as his son David received his Eagle Scout award, still symbolic of scouting experience. “The Eagle Scout award has remained basically unchanged through those years, although it will soon undergo major changes,” said Tom Pence, Scout Executive for the Camden District.
