Dedicated 4th Graders
Peyton Hicks and Stella Manning are just two of the many 4th Graders at Lugoff Elementary School you will hear laughing and conversing from down from the Orange hallway at Lugoff Elementary School. Their teachers are already doing this before the children even arrive and before learning and memories happen. The 4th Grade team is infectious. They are committed. They are determined. They are deeply connected and close as colleagues and as friends. Each day they welcome their students with a smile and each day their students have high expectations. The students in 4th Grade know they are loved but they also know they must do the work to succeed. Leslie Martin teaches Math, Brantley Smith teaches reading, and Rebecca Bonig teaches social studies and science. They all teach writing to their students. Bonig has made it her mission to bring a bit of fun into her new science standards. The 4th Grade team have battled through obstacles together but remain strong as a unified team. Teaching can be overwhelming but with teammates like this, it makes it one of the happiest places on earth!
